WE NEED YOUR HELP

Support from donors helps us to keep the programme running, pay for classes for those who cannot afford them, and offer our teachers continued professional development.
Below are some of the ways you can help.

MAKE A MONETARY DONATION

We’re so grateful for everyone who is able to donate. Whether big or small, every amount helps us offer classes to those who cannot afford to attend, aids us in the organisation’s running costs, and gives us the opportunity to train new teachers and provide skills development to existing teachers.

We have been approved as a Public Benefit Organisation for purposes of section 18A (1) (a) of the Act and donations will be tax deductible. If you want to read more about this, click on the button below to download our “DFPSA Donations – All the tax information you need” document.

VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME

Whilst some Parkinson’s participants who attend our classes are accompanied by family members or carers, this is not always the case. Volunteers can provide necessary assistance to teachers where class numbers do not always allow one-on-one assistance.

“Dance for Parkinson’s has helped me with my control of movement. I’m ‘dancing with this disease’ so to speak – accepting it and learning to make it a friend and not an enemy. This programme has given me hope and made me see that I am not alone.”
– Paul, Cape Town
